  • What does a typical session look like?

    Prior to the first session you will be prompted to complete an intake form which will ask you to identify the reason you are seeking therapy. The first session is an opportunity for your therapist to use the information you shared and to learn more about you and what it is you hope to gain from therapy. Therapy can be short-term, addressing a specific issue, or long-term, delving deeper into more deep-seated issues that take some time to untangle and resolve. You and your therapist will discuss your progress along the way in an open dialogue to be sure you comfortable with the process and the progress you are making.

  • What are the costs?

    Out of pocket rates:

    Intake session - $190.00

    50 minute session - $160.00

    If we are in network with your insurance plan, your insurance company will be billed at the end of each session.

  • Can I use my health insurance?

    Yes, we take the following insurance plans:

    Aetna

    Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO

    Highmark BC/BS

    Keystone Health Plan East

    Medicare

    Meritain Health

    Personal Choice

    United Health Care

    ***Not all KCC clinicians are providers under each plan. We can help you determine which providers participate with your plan.

  • What if you do not take my insurance plan?

    If your insurance plan is not accepted, we will accept payment via credit card. We will provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, a sliding scale is available on an as-needed basis. This will need to be discussed and arranged with your therapist.

 POLICIES

  • Once you have scheduled an appointment, that hour time slot has been reserved for you. If you need to cancel, please notify us with at least 24 hours notice. If you miss an appointment or have a late cancellation, you will be charged the full session fee.

    Cancellation fee waivers for cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment time slot due to an emergency will be determined at the sole discretion of the counseling practice.

  • If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, please call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or 1-800-273-8255 or go to your nearest emergency room or crisis center.

  • If you need to contact your therapist outside of your scheduled session, please email your therapist or call 610-358-2250 and leave a message for our office manager to relay to your therapist.
